I'm new to domaining and all this stuff really, and was doing some research into a few things when I came across a blog explaining that a website (tattoofonts.net) is making approximately $200 per month from AdSence advertising.
I went on the website to have a look, and it looks "okay". It's ranked #4-5 in the search engines, and it has 22,000+ local exacts. But still, £1500+ a year from AdSence for one website?...
I then noticed the advert at the top. The banner shows a number of different fonts, and then the advert (50% of the time) shows a big 'DOWNLOAD' button.
I knew the download button was an advert, but I can see how a lot of people wouldn't, and would expect to click that button to download the fonts in the banner. With that being said, I can now see why it's earning so much from advert-clicks.
My question is...
How has the website owner made sure that specific advert shows?
Is there a way, or has he just got really lucky?
Thanks,
Ash
