Can't beat a good roast, especially a nice bit of beef with a few roasties and yorkshire puds
 
You're right you can't beat a good sunday roast.
The thing is, it's great if it's home made but it can get very dodgy if
you eat out. I like loads of mashed potato but hate veg.
Most pubs nowadays give you a very small dollop of potato (if any) and
lots of overcooked veg. I no longer order a roast dinner from a pub.
Gammon & chips/mixed grill to be safe!

Yeah, but the other half has just come back from the local butchers laden with goodies just for the carnivore :D

Couldn't agree more, finding somewhere that serves a decent roast (at reasonable cost) is rare as hens teeth these days.

don't know why people don't do their own, it's not difficult and there's usually left overs that can be turned into a meal for the next day ....
