I'm of the opinion that people are capable of making their own minds up

Technically it's a typo but it doesn't generate a "did you mean..." response in Google and there are nearly 2000 searches a month for the term.

There is also an advanced bid on DomainLore for the .co.uk

The Americans spell it theater which could explain the monthly searches (tourists).

Correct Sean, it's the US spelling and a general misspelling in the UK for that reason

It also has High competition on AdWords so plenty of ticket companies are paying to advertise this term
