Morning All,

Transpires that Nominet have had a maintenance change:

https://registrars.nominet.uk/system-announcements/4th-may-planned-system-maintenance/

The new IP for the DAC is 213.248.242.125 dac.nic.uk

You can change this in your config.ini file, best use JUST the IP, then time isn’t wasted on a DNS lookup.

If need be, we can do the change for you with your server access.

Does anyone know the reason why Nominet has changed the Dac IP?

The Transcom server has been down for over 24 hours now so DAC scripts cannot run. Is there a resolution in site for this (Their website also down)

yep, on the 25th May (sunday) at 0703 we had multiple DNS propogation delays, still dont know the cause, but they all cam back up within a few hours but of course, propogation glbally was messed up, it points to root servers. By the 26th all was once again normal.

Sorry about that, first since 1993 !

Since then, weve added a live dropcatch service for those that are not using our software or leasing service, its ad hoc and has no charge unless a catch happens.

Simple 2 line registration , best to use your TAG or Acorn ID as a username, but any is fine.
