TV Recommendation

Any recommendations on which tv to buy? Am looking for a 42-46" 1080p.
Have had a look on avforum but too much to go through.

The hard part as well is that i need a child friendly stand so my kids can't knock the telly over. Have seen a couple of cantilever stands but ideally want something like oak to go with my floor.

Brand-wise I like Panasonic, and the new range of Samsung LED TVs look very nice, but they're expensive.

at that size of TV a lot of the research I read recommended going plasma rather than lcd.

if you have got loads of cash then pioneer plasmas are considered the best in the market, if not panasonic probably have the second best.

personally I have a panasonic 42" plasma

there are loads of samsung tv's that are unbranded knocking about now(basically they make the tv's for someone else and remove the samsung logo),so if your not a brand snob then worth a punt.

Pioneer - hard 2 find often and more expensive than most but once you use one you'll know why.
