With great thanks to Stephen Wilde who is doing a great job (Nominet’s job) of keeping us up to date with consultation deadlines and reminding us of key URLs which I’m afraid can get lost in the sea of information, I have finally cancelled a weekend to work through the materials :(

Early in both of the consultation documents we are invited to confirm whether we would like to have the feedback published including our name and organisation, or to confirm that we do not want Nominet to publish our responses. Come on Nominet, this is all about transparency. This will only work if you are transparent, and make it easy for other people to share their feedback.

Where is the third, and most obvious option?

To put my previous question more simply -

Where is the option for those who wish to have their feedback published without also publishing their name and organisation. An option to publish their feedback as anonymous?

Who decided that it should be name-organisation-feedback, or nothing? Has Nominet actually reviewed any benchmark comment and feedback systems? Many have options to hide the identity of the person providing the feedback which in turn generates more publicaly visible feedback and therefore greater transparency.

May we also see an anonymised set of the V1.0 consultation data, not just the summary. The data that Nominet is relying upon to argue that there was support for the direct.uk proposal?
