The UKRAC agenda is now online for Tuesday's meeting - you will have to login to the members section to view and there is a slightly onerous password reset :)

We have been asked to setup a working group on: "Progression of Expired Domains Implementation Review" with this paper a basis of its creation https://members.nominet.uk/dl-file....-3b-Expired-Domains-Implementation-Review.pdf

This included areas :

a. Wider aspects of collusion and transparency focusing in particular on the data around successful dropcatches and the process for verifying and monitoring TAG identities.
b. The involvement of non-member TAGS in the wider review of dropcatching
c. Review of the performance of the drop list process in the place and comparison with other options

And 'overlap' with this data:

(Previous thread that got a bit derailed here https://www.acorndomains.co.uk/threads/uk-expiring-domains-implementation-review.177272/ )

As well as just highlighting it - are there any comments or suggestions?

Here are some starters for you to mull:

  • Is the UK Expiring domains Process as implemented in September 2022 working? If not why not?
  • What would you change?
  • How would you release expired names?
  • How would you define linked members?
  • How would you police / enforce that linking policy?

Reply... pop me a PM or email if you want or give me a buzz if want a full on ramble :)
