Unclaimed Domains Sold

Been selling domains in bulk lots. Appears buyers have been buying the lots and then CherryPicking and not bothering to go through with the complete Transfer. Didn't think you can you do that on Nominet. Someone sends you 25 domains over, can you pick the 4 you want and somehow reject the rest. Got no idea what's going on to be honest.

So basically bizarrely sales have gone through, I've been paid, I've done the Nom transfers and well over half the domains are still in my name a good 2 months later.

No contact from the buyers.

In one case someone has been paid and despite numerous emails has not responded?

So just like to know what the communty's protocol is for this.

Are these domains now mine?
For what length of time should I continue attempting to make contact?
After this period can I resell them without risking reputation damage?
Anyone had a similar experience?

All responses appreciated. Literally only just discovered all these unclaimed domains this morning and bit nonplussed. Many thanks.

Just post their name saying hey you need to accept the transfer.

I'm always forgetting and so are buyers from me, you know who you are lol

If someone initiates a single transfer for 25 domains, I don't think there is an option to accept some and reject some. It's one transfer and one NOM fee.

Remind the buyer about the domain(s).

My first thought was people simply didn't want them but why let them expire? But just dawned on my nearly everyone has a website and tend to have contact numbers on the website so I'll try and make direct contact.

You just answered your own question!

If people don't think they can sell them (or don't sell domains at all, like me), it makes more sense to just not have them...otherwise they just cost time and money. Most people list bulk lots to get rid (unless there's a specific theme), so I would assume the seller didn't want them either.

(I wouldn't pick and choose if I bought a bulk lot though - doesn't seem ethical).

I've sold a domain on here to another member. He paid for it but didn't complete the transfer as he had missread the name and it wasn't something he wanted.
I've mailed him twice as a polite reminder but I wouldn't dream of trying to re-register it. Its his domain name, not mine.
Maybe when it has expired and is openly free to reg it would be okay but until then its not mine to do anything with, the same for your buyers,

People who don't accept transfers are annoying, it's not hard.

I see it like this, if you go to pizza hut and order a pizza and leave without eating it then it gets disposed of, if you don't take your domain you don't get it.

I do initiate the transfer twice and a 3rd and final time for a charge.

I forgot to put up a site, left the domain hosted on the original server. The original owner then 301d the domain (pr3) to their own site. I found out by accident, and I am perfectly fine with that.
