Valuating a domain name

The best advice you can probably receive is that a domain is "only worth what the next person is willing to pay for it".

There is therefore no automated tool which can accurately estimate selling prices. Use websites such as DomainPrices.co.uk, DNJournal.com and DNSalePrice.com to find out prices which domains have sold for in recent years.

Valuate and Estibot are 'fun-tools'. Nothing more or less. They do incorporate 'real-time' sales data in their automated process - So if they throw-up a high value for a domain it is worth investigating further..

I also personally like to use the tools for a .com/.co.uk comparison - I tend to agree more with their ratios than ever agreed with their valuation which always seems in the extreme. And nice for a quick comparison on the plural/singular likewise

If you had an accurate way to tell the true market price of domains then a business would make more money buying domains? Then selling at a profit than telling everyone there real worth…? There a complete waste of time

I think there are two ways to evaluate its price, but not tools. Because there is not any tools can estimate the domain's price accurately. One is google, check out its PR; and the other is Alexa rank, you know the smaller the number is, then the more important the website is.

This is just my views on it. Hope it can be helpful to you

Don't ever buy a domain based on the valuation an uatomated tool brings back. Estibot for example is always waaaay out.
