Video Production Problem - .mswmm to .wmv or similar

Hi All,

Ive just started putting together a few videos for a new youtube site, not done it before so i started with movie maker, have since found it has a rediculous amount of bugs .. I cant save my .mswmm file to .wmv format it fails everytime or completes and i end up with a blank screen.
(using vista business, video from a sony dcr 77e handycam)

Can someone do the conversion for me so i can upload to youtube, will donate a fiver or somethingto you? shouldnt take long?

Also can anyone reccommend a good video editing programme that isnt too pricey for next time !

Maybe have a read of some of the product reviews on there to see if anything is suitable, and then see if you can find it for sale anywhere cheaper.
