I'm looking to use a voucher code website to promote falsenails (dot) com (sells false nails/eyelashes & nail art products).

Unfortunately, the two largest voucher sites I've approached have not responded...so I guess they are not interested.

Couple of questions:

(a) Does anyone know of a voucher site which might be more receptive?
(b) Has anybody actually used a voucher site to promote a retail website and if so, was it effective?

Many thanks

Might be worth dropping dougs a PM, he owns discountvouchers.co.uk

2 questions to o/p
the sites you have approached, do they have a clear page showing their advertising rates and how to apply?
if so, persevere.
if not, they clearly do not want all and sundry approaching them with $10 offers per year. not saying you will, but theres so many timewasters out there, the way webmasters deal with it is to have a fixed page deatiling rates they point people to or dont want people to advertise

unless someone (credible) approached them and offers a decent rate

so if you include a figure in your offer and its reasonable, to them, i'm sure you may hear back. unless theyre a really huge site and then theyre prob not interested

good luck

Pred - I think you're probably right and the big voucher code sites don't need the (relatively) small amounts of additional income dealing with the likes of me would generate.

Maybe this is a business opportunity for someone...voucher code promotions for small independent retailers and websites.

I would happily pay 10% sale commission or an advertising fee of say £500/mth...and I'm sure there are plenty of other website owners who'd be interested.

Heh this is actually something I am working on, its a long way off though.

Why don't you try joining AW / TD or similar? They will probably pick up your code pretty quickly.

We are launching a new website in early May based on saving time and money with a few innovative ideas including voucher codes. The website is being emailed to an extensive database which we cuurently have prepared. Therefore we would be very interested in discussing your proposal further to come to an agreement.

Post it (or get someone with more posts to put it up) on hotdealsuk and moneysavingexpert.
