I didn't mean I thought it was .uk.com subdomain.... I just mean '.uk.com' ending in general is awkard and only is/was of any value for seo keyword spam

Because if you wanted to use your domain to show you were UK based, you'd have used a .co.uk.
If you wanted to try to spam phrase 'xxxx yyy UK' you'd have used xxxxyyyyUK.com.
imo these ending domains only devalue further with the launch of .uk
I would say its worth more than 300 quid. If i were you i would spend an hour or two contacting end users, lots have "web design uk" in their titles.

I will say though, web design companies from my experience are very tight when it comes to buying domain names. But you never know.
