Acoording to NIC.UK - The maximum usuage for the whois is....

"Until the 31st January 2006, the maximum query rate is 10 queries per second with a maximum of 10,000 queries per rolling 24 hours."

I'm sending 1 query every 2 seconds and still getting blocked out - anyone else getting the same?

My system is currently set to limit itself to 9500 a day.
Remember that it is a rolling 24 hours, so if your requests start bunching at different times, you can go over the limit.
