I ran it through being very fair and got £20,000 which is getting closer to its real value

You must have totally over valued and choosen the name to be 'Unforgettable' and all the higest options etc. (which most people do)

It has made me realise I need to take into account plurals as pubcrawls is imo better than pubcrawl. If I were setting up a site i'd like to have both. If you have both then they are worth more as a pair perhaps.

Sometimes the best way to get a value is to have a friend or someone fill in the form for you.

Thanks julian i think your wrong about pubcrawls nobody says lets go on a pubcrawls and with pubcrawls i think people whould think they have to crawl across towns/cities i did put that it was unforgettable because imo it is as i allways say a name is only worth what someone is willing to pay but i love your site i can push people to see the ballpark figure mat got the right idea though get a friend to fill in the form as he has done and got £20000 a friend of mine has told me to advertise strippers and limo hire on it to gain revenue now i got to go and place that deposit on the audi now which colour shall i have lol

Better still, get someone you don't know to fill the form in. I just did it with what I believe to be accurate answers and got an appraisal of £2,350/£3,000+ which is a much more realistic valuation.

I take your point but imagine your setting up a website about the best "Pub Crawls" in Britain thus Pubcrawls.co.uk is probably the better name as you dont talk about Pub Crawls much in a singular format.

You've even got it setup to redirect to a folder called pubcrawls.

Someone might say I know a good 'pub crawl' your right in that respect, but form a marketing perspective its not as strong.

CheapFlight or CheapFlights both good the plural better.

I assume your offering a site similar to that of beerintheevening.com.

pubcrawl is a nice name and has some potential - im just being hyper critical. :mrgreen:

yes, I did it with pubcrawl. The domain on its own has limited value imo, but then I'm crap at valuing domains

With or without the 's' it has very little commercial appeal/value unless its developed into a very successful site. Either that or you get lucky and a crazy millionaire comes along who wants to start a site about a pub crawl

Julians appraisal system said 2k to 3k, I said that was more realistic than 150k / 20k. Im not saying its worthless but I can't imagine many (if any) end users paying top dollar for the domain on its own.
