That's a weird one. The .co.uk was bought by the owners of the .com (which is 5 years older) but it looks like the .com has just been sitting on the shelf, so although it's not a generic it is also very hard to prove it's "infringing" because it's not been in use and the owners only filed for a (Canadian) trademark this year. So they probably thought it was simpler to pay.
