Google Adsense Yahoo Paid Search Box

I got an email today from a company asking if I would consider putting a yahoo search box on my website for xx a month

Id have to create a subdomain for it and when a user does a search they would get redirected to the subdomain which contains sponsored listings

Whats the angle here? why are a third party company wanting to pay me a fix sum per month to add a yahoo search box

Is this the equivalent of me saying to someone "hey why don't you put my adsense code on your site, I will give you xx a month" and then i make x,xxx from it

Who is the third party? I used to run something similar with a firm who ran Ask ads.

There's a member on here who does this constantly. Won't mention him but hopefully he'll turn up here

Does it work pretty much how I said or different?

is it just like me asking someone to add my adsense code to their site and paying them xx while i make xxx

I've no idea how it works to be honest. But from what I do know the sites that this works on needs certain things like a good PR.

Whatever it is it seems to be one of the few things that are kept quite on here and other forums?!

I assume it works like how you said because there must be money in it for them somehow.

Why PR? is it some kind of SEO trick, are they trying to sneak a link in somewhere :s

How does it work?

Pm me.

The program worked by offering a search box or a list of keywords that are hyperlinks. When clicked they would go to Ask adverts.

A bit like Adsense but with more clicks as you control the keyword links but less ppc
