Noticed a lot of people sell UK domain names but never release prices due to NDA and other reasons where they or the buyer don't want the sale to go public. So I thought I would create a thread for people to post the highest prices they have sold a uk domain for this year, either .co.uk /.uk or both as a pair without actually giving out the domain name.

I sold a .co.uk/.uk pair for £16k

Been a slow 2015 sales wise for me upon reflection

Me too, although it's partly my own fault as I've been very bullish with rejecting offers.

Highest sale a mere £1k+VAT.

(and highest offer declined £10k+VAT)

Definitely had more interest this year than last year though.

My best was via escrow. It was a co.uk (with.uk rights) although whether they realise that is probably doubtful as not discussed

May 29, 2015 $4,250.00 (USD)

A pathetic £200 - and only £650 in total. But then it hasn't been anything like a priority this year. I've barely registered or caught anything either.

I still think that went cheap

Kind of the beauty of DL, it's good for a quick sale - also good for buyers.

I've sold 10x more than I've bought on DL, but I was very happy with the price on the purchases I made.

You're right with that one though - It was re-sold to an end user within a month so a healthy profit for the DL buyer no doubt.

I was lucky and sold a .co.uk & .uk pair for £30k, paid off a bit of debt.

To the guys that sold domains at £30k and £16k....

Just curious...

Were these catches, bought or hand reg'd? And roughly when did you catch, buy or hand reg them?

Cheers :)

I bought mine a couple of years ago from here, was going to develop it, but had quite a few people emailing me about it so I ended up selling it when a good offer came along. Its the only domain name I have ever sold. I don't buy them to sell, just to develop.

I have turned down a £35k offer for a different domain I own, I still have plans for it.

Hi Mark, if i can ask was it a straight offer first email in or was there back and too email exchanges before they got that offer in.

Reason i ask is i get about 5-10 a week emails come in saying how much and when i reply to make an offer i get nothing back, when i give a price they still don't bother so i am trying to find best approach and reply on first email in when they ask how much.

Hope you don't mind

Paul

I wasn't actually looking to sell it, so it was a case of they kept coming back to me with higher offers until I received an offer I would let it go for. It was over several months.
