    Hi Guys

I am after suggestions for important product pages that I should add next at LowPrices.co.uk. You can see what I've got so far at:

    http://www.lowprices.co.uk/site-map.php

What do you think are the most important products that I've missed?

    Thanks

Not to be rude but maybe you should go back and read the threads where you've posted lowprices before and take on board what's already been said 1000+ times.

Thanks for your reply. I am focusing on content suggestions in this thread, as I want to increase the number of pages on the site before updating the design.

If you spent even a tenth of the time working on your business as you doing reading/commenting on general web guff I think you'd be somewhat successful.

It's hard to give a proper answer to your question when there are so many other issues that needs addressing first. The design is the least of your worries. I'd be more concerned about the hundreds of thin pages that offer absolutely no value add whatsoever. You keep asking for advice on things which really don't matter until you address the other issues at hand.

It's like you're sitting in a car with no engine and are worried about the time being wrong on the dashboard clock.

Thanks for your reply. I will ask esteemed forum members to put the issue of design to one side in this thread. I have accepted comments re the design in the past, and will revisit design if/when time allows. However, this thread is not about design, it is inviting comments on what product pages I should add next, which will be gratefully accepted.

It's a shame that you don't listen to people's advice. You obviously put in a lot of effort, which if it was used correctly you could be making serious money now with some successful sites.

For example the amount of content you have added throughout that site to create pages for highly competitive product categories just won't get anywhere. However you could have created a far more niche site with hundreds of pages targeting products that you actually have a chance to bring in some traffic for.

You should be learning from this, not just repeating the same stuff over and over and over. You won't get anywhere, which is a shame as your very dedicated.

I think you might be on to something there :) No but seriously, I only visit Acorn for a quick break then it's back to the grindstone.

You seem to post things on Acorn though which you've obviously spent time reading yourself. I assume you read other things which you don't post either. Your twitter is full of posts to guff which you may or may not have bothered reading also. You just strike me as a guy who spends so much time reading and probably learning but don't seem to apply any of it in the real/online world.

You probably know more than most who are making a killing online so my advice is simple, less reading, more action. Just get on with it starting with the advice you've been given countless times on here.

I'm not an esteemed member though so would reiterate that I feel unless you do something about the design, you don't have enough of a shop window to encourage visitors to stay, regardless of the quality of content. Ultimately if visitors click on your site, see that design, they'll assume it was built 10 years ago and not updated since. No disrespect intended, just feel the design is too much of an issue to put less priority on than content hoping to improve search engine positioning etc. If visitors don't stay, then it doesn't matter if you are position 1, or 1000 in Google.

I do however enjoy the time you spend on here providing links to some interesting stories.

That is good to hear. I would be pleased to see other members post more internet business related stuff in the Business section, as we can have more discussion in there.

Re the Twitter, yes I am spending a lot of time reading stuff, and I do tend to retweet stuff about internet startups and Bitcoin. It's partly because I'm trying to work out my next move. As we all know the affiliate model has become quite difficult to make work, so I'm looking at other possibilities. I do however feel Twitter is quite valuable in terms of what you can learn, but yes, eventually you need to put stuff in to practice.

The other things I'm into are investing and economics, and Twitter is very good for that.

I'd certainly encourage more use of the business section to share views and stories. Unfortunately there is a shortage of decent 'small business' related forums out there, and many that do exist are full of individuals with grand plans of 'get rich quick' schemes and "do you think I could make a business from selling toast online"....
