Hi Guys

Please review this www.hotelsinbath.org.uk website and let me know any thoughts you have.

Also, if anyone can link to this website, that would be good.

Thanks

I won’t mention the design as that has been discussed in major detail over the last 10 years :p

Anyway, my honest opinion...

It is a shame that the page is not of much use to users. The blocks of text are not instantly inviting and I can’t quickly find information that screams out to be read. As a user I would hit the back button pretty fast.

The links you have provided under "We've found relevant Bath hotel sites for you" just link to standard affiliate hotel site homepages. Why have you not tried to at least deep link them to bath search pages?

I would want to see personal or well researched recommendations on the EXACT hotels that are great to stay in.

I went up over the weekend and stayed in an amazing apartment which is offered by one of the hotels there for the price a standard room would cost for the night in London. If your page displayed information on that sort of thing users would find it far more useful.

You also have your images linking to random hotel affiliate sites unrelated to the pictures? Why?

The whole page just screams out that it was set up to try and trick people into clicking through affiliate links in the hope that they may go onto book through them.

I must have psychic powers, for without even clicking on the link I knew exactly what the site was going to look like

ps. This clearly has just been posted for the keyword link so should be removed as spam.

What hotel was this then?

Thanks for your comments.

Always rely on an Accelerator website thread to get the forum going lol

I really hate to put people down but that is like something from 10-15 years ago. You really need to listen to what people have been telling you for months, throwing 100's of shit sites out like this will get you nowhere, and with shitty link building attempts like you are doing here will get you a slap on the ass from Google.

You obviously have a passion for the web and affiliate stuff so my best advice is to pay a web design company to build you a solid framework and go from there. You are literally wasting your time, with rubbish.

One useful tip:

To save time, just copy and paste your responses from the last 'Please tell me my design is shit' thread.

Just had a quick look at the site.

For me when I see a domain like (hotelsinbath.org.uk) I expect to see hotels located in bath on the site.

As soon as you hit the homepage all I see is a load of content telling me about bath. Now this isn't a bad thing, but ATM it takes the spotlight.

Maybe create some pages reviewing individual hotels, or better still let users leave reviews.

You could then place affiliate links directly to these hotels on sites such as laterooms etc.

Just some constructive thoughts.

Cheers

Thanks for your comments. I will add some more hotel pics to the home page. Does anyone have any recommendations for good hotels in Bath?

Thanks

Great hotels in bath
Cheap hotels in bath
Best hotels in bath
Bath hotels
Bath Spa hotels
Bath accommodation

Hope that helps create a context heavy thread for you

(It's a total waste of time though)

Accelerator, what do you think are the good and bad points of your site? Where do you think it can be improved? What value does it add to a user now and how do you think it could be improved?

I think it would help if you gave some reasoning and then it would at least help things along a bit in terms of constructive criticism.

Sometimes these threads annoy me a bit but then I have to try and remember..

Accelerator obviously enjoys trying to make money online and whether he succeeds in that doesn't seem to be a problem

He takes on board no advice and never has & the reason for the thread was for the link.

In short

Poor site structure, non relevant hotel ads, Way too many ads, lots of broken links (hotels in newcastle etc), did i mention way too many ads?

I suppose at least you got what you wanted... Discussing the "best hotels in Bath" despite being on a domain name forum! I.e. A link from a page "on topic" ;-)

Seems like we've been here before?

I'm just curious why you continue to put your websites up for critique and review yet have absolutely no intentions of acting on any of the solid advice given?

I think it's pretty clear now that these type of sites are the limit of your skillset, you perhaps do genuinely want feedback but lack the skills to actually implement them. So you keep spinning your wheels.
