I've got no issues with you using the layout 😊

This weeks feature release: Bulk Lookups, paste a list of .uk names (up to 5,000) and get the full picture on each in the droplist table, with its filters: registered/available, expiry, registrar, Ahrefs Domain Rating, Google search volume + CPC + competition, Common Crawl links, keywords and...

I’m hoping this is better than the scrolling layout I had before, same exact info, just arranged slightly differently.

Thanks, I've just spent the last few hours fixing some layout issues on mobile and tablet, so hopefully that make the user experience better on those devices, it's just a shame the API for the Wayback is a little slow for what I planned with that for this weeks release. I'm not 100% what's...

    Almost KIA'd everything...

We are using Postgres, it wasn't so much the volume of data, but that it was normalised, and running through 10M+ domains, with 4-5 joins, to solve the issue we essentially join the data for the main droplist table into a de-normalised single table, with only 2 joins if a user looks at the...

Update on NameChase this week: link data for every .uk name. There's a new Links column and three filters (Total Links, Top 100k Sites, Edu/Gov/Health Links), and expanding a row now shows a Web Rank and the top 10 sites linking to the name. It's built from Common Crawl and covers about 3.35M...

Update time. The metrics I said were taking longer than expected have started to land, starting with Google CPC. Google CPC and competition The droplist now shows Google's suggested bid per click for a name's keywords, next to search volume, plus Google's competition rating (low, medium or...

    Almost KIA'd everything...

It was using a large number of joins, resulting in slow loading of the site >1,200ms, the changes made the site load in <400ms when it’s warm

Yes, CPC is on our list. It'll be Google's top-of-page bid range, in pounds, for names with real search demand. Very obscure names won't have one, because Google has no ad data for them, and we'd rather show nothing than guess. A few other things we're hoping to add: More metrics - Open...

I made somthing - NameChase - .uk Droplists

Update — a few things since my last post here: Hit a rough patch: some of you would have seen real hangs/500s on the droplist over the last couple of weeks. Traced it to a database query joining a table it didn't need to — fixed properly now, not just patched. Made a round of other database...

For Sale Domain Sale: 8 Domains, .co.uk/.uk pairs

Hey All, I'm trying to raise the funds needed for the Nominet Membership given the requirement to be a member now, I have the following domains that I would be happy to let go, I'm looking to raise around £500, I'm asking £75 each, with £100 for a pair, but I'm open to offers, the ones that are...

I have something in the pipeline for that, using zone files, but if that fails, I'll keep this in mind 😊

Thanks, it was a nice feeling, I'm always working on things, and they are pushed as they are completed, but I've decided to prevent spamming people, only give a main update on a friday. When did you check, we just pushed a small update to the dropdown in the last hour or so
