Cheapest reliable registrar for .com? (renewal cost)

OK many thanks that looks like a good shout so long as using the pre-funded option, which is fine. Will use them. Ref: Porkbun, I was wrong about the $6.99 first year. That's only for new registrations, so Namesilo it is! Very much appreciate the steer. Max

Cheapest reliable registrar for .com? (renewal cost)

123reg in the UK have become very pricey over the last few years and looking to transfer a small portfolio of .coms to keep costs down. Having had a quick look it seems Porkbun offer the best deal with transfer cots of $6.99 and renewal cost of $11.06 per annum. Anyone have any experience of...

The great big .uk Rights of Registration thread!

Would anyone here risk using Snapnames for these .uk drops 1st to 5th July? Have read plenty posts of them being suspected of shill bidding? Just wondered if anyone has used them for Nominet based name and their experiences (good or bad). Any other recommendations for honest and trustworthy...

    Legal action being threatened

Probably should have posted this in the "Bounce" appeal decision thread but it seems to have amalgamated with this one so here goes! Having read results from similar DRS cases, it seems that Nominet will always find for the complainant if the respondent has been shown to indulge in a pattern...

    Slow page serve

Can't give any techie details, but moved our portfolio over to Namedrive recently. Parked pages serving seems OK, but access to ND control panel + making changes/previewing pages can indeed be slow at times. Definitely slower than SEDO I would say, but only a subjective observation, albeit from...

Who to use for .coms ?

Thanks for that. Couldn't see any reg prices for domains on the site but might give them a call.

Who to use for .coms ?

Mentioned bulkregister.com as they seem to advertise good bulk management tools on the account. Just altered nearly 60 .com nameserver entries one by one on 123reg hence the question. Including unlocking and re-locking the domains that's a lot of keystrokes for relatively few domains!

Who to use for .coms ?

Anyone recommend registrar for larger numbers of .com registrations (i.e. tens per month or more)? Done a search and bulkregister.com seem to come up a lot but can't find many opinions other than their own testimonials. Anyone dealing in .coms with any experience or other recommendations...

    Currencies (why Dollars?)

Hi Ed, Thanks for the reply. My concern wasn't so much the strength of the currency, more the ease of handling for a UK based company. Look forward to day when there is a choice of currency. Max99

    Currencies (why Dollars?)

Question for Namedrive (or anyone else who has relevant info). Am I right in thinking that Namedrive only pay out revenue in US$? If this is the case, why, as they are a UK company. Call me old fashioned but I prefer my payments in GBP, then I don't have to mess about with currency...

    using the DAC to catch

Anyone know what kind of system is used by major dropcatchers to get email domain request to Nominet submitted faster than a TAG holding "scriptkiddy"? Surely their (the big player's) handicap is having to monitor thousands of names rather than, say, one or two hundred? How do they get around...
