    Exactly! ;) Cheers, Jon

    FlightsMenorca.co.uk

Looks good overall. Personally I'd go for a more evocative photo in the header - maybe a pic of Menorca beaches, or something like that. Something that reminds people why they want to fly to Menorca :) HTH Cheers, Jon

    RL's Amsterdam Inventory, first half

I didn't count properly, but seemed like maybe 1 in 5 sold? And most that sold were for the reserve price. Vegas.cm was the only one I noticed that went a lot higher than the reserve Bad day in Amsterdam, maybe all the bidders got lost in the coffee shops :) Cheers, Jon

Wordpress - Good Or Bad ?

"WordPress takes care of 80-90% of (the mechanics of) Search Engine Optimization (SEO)" From Matt Cutts' blog - Straight from Google: What You Need to Know - slide 12 Cheers, Jon

Using Free Templates and Its Impact on SEO

I think that's a symptom of their success rather than a cause of it. It's a bit like saying, "I've never seen a celebrity shopping in Tesco's. Therefore shopping in Tesco's prevents you from becoming a celebrity" Cheers, Jon

    rss feeds?

Your best bet is to use a system that has the capability to pull in RSS feeds and turn them into pages, or html on one of your existing pages (with text that the SE's can read). Wordpress has plugins that do this, sounds like Boxerdog's system does something similar You can also use...

    lasvegasshopping.co.uk

Could be a good idea to have a mini-portfolio around a certain topic. Some developers will buy up lots of less-good domains and use them to build links to their main site(s) in that topic Cheers, Jon

Spring cleaning a web company and I found these

Personally I think investedingold is the best, as it contains the keywords "invest in gold" The others seem more suited to blogs. Don't know if there's much of a market for blog names? RestaurantWriteups has a ring to it, and there are more and more review sites springing up. Do they use...

    VegasRoomz.com

It's not a bad idea mate, but look for better keywords and then stick a "z" on the end :) "vegas room" only gets 390 exact searches per month I remember couple of months ago marketingz.com sold on Sedo for several thousand dollars.... Cheers, Jon

    eHDtvs.co.uk - Appraisal Please

Hi Surfbandit (great name :)) Agree with Doodlebug on this one, I think there's just too many letters to remember. I do think the "e" and "i" prefixes have value, but they don't suit every keyword. Great with verbs, like "eShopping" not so good with acronyms But worth sticking it up on...

    rss feeds?

Moreover.com have a lot of good feeds. Or try some of the RSS aggregator sites like technorati, feedest, blogged, blogcatalog (all .com) You can also pull feeds from Youtube if they have related vids (and we all know how Google smiles on sites that include YT vids!) Cheers, Jon

    MS new Search Engine Bing.com

I'm in two minds - part of me wants someone to challenge Google's monopoly, the other part hopes it's anyone but Microsoft :) The shopping functionality is interesting. If it takes off it could put a dent in the traffic of the review/price-comparison sites Cheers, Jon

    Thais/co/uk - Any thoughts ?

I get 590 local exact with Google keywords too Looking at the avg CPC - the only words/phrases over a quid are to do with Thai travel, Thai holidays.... Personally I'd go down that route. Maybe think of something the "s" could stand for. Like "Thai Sun" or "Thai Search" Thinking...

    Website review please

Try this - ColorSchemer - Online Color Scheme Generator - I use it all the time Put a colour in on the left hand column (the purple from your logo for example) and it generates a set of matching colours. You can also darken or lighten the suggested colours if you want BTW the "Web Design...

    Dating Affiliates

Just to say, if anyone's not sure about this, I contacted Simon after he posted in the Intro section. A few emails back and forth and I found him very helpful and easy to work with. I decided to try DatingDirect out on a new online dating site I'm building - Love Online Dating .com - and...

    Website review please

Looks nice, well done! Have you tried it with stronger colours? If you look at jewellery ads in magazines, they often have a black background, to make the shiny baubles stand out more in contrast Maybe use the darkest purple you have in your logo more. Perhaps with a matching yellow...
