Maybe ideal for sporting event sponsors, organisers etc

Most sporting events etc use there own “ brand” Olympics, commonwealth, European, Australasian etc or after the sponsors name coco-cola world cup, Benson and hedges world championship etc they want to push there own name “year games “ doesn't do that? add shortness of the timescale, also being a cctld makes it a non starter?

Thanks for that, I might be best looking at the smaller events where I can offer it in exchange for sponsorship of some sort.

The commonwealth games are in Glasgow in 2014, suspect this may be the reason why you brought this? Maybe try to do something round that, and see how it goes. Alot of the timetable are publicly available, transport systems, places to stay, eat, meet, drink etc etc.

Or, I would build something listing real games (things that you can play), as 'ideas to do with the kids' kind of thing. Get 2014 of them, or even just a few hundred, and ask for user submissions.

Although, I feel as it stands, right now (and after 2014) the value is low, unless something decent is developed on it.
