there is alot of talk that it will be stripped from them because they stopped making them in 2003 i think?
plus many big companies use the term "netbook" like hp/dell etc
i guess i will have to wait and see if anyone comes knocking:rolleyes:

saying that im sure i read somewhere that they had the trademark for the word "notebook" and they are saying that "netbook" is an extention of that?

I think that the Trademark issue will get resolved.

Generally I like netbook domains. I have developed free netbooks .co.uk and am looking to sell freenetbook.org.uk, which relates directly to the popular free netbook deals. As a guide I am looking for a minimum £100 offer to get the auction going on freenetbook.org.uk. However, I don't feel pocketnetbook works as well for selling netbooks, is this a popular term?

i woudnt say its that popular at the moment but sony and another company have a "pocket netbook"
i think it will become more popular over time as things always get smaller to fit in you pocket.
the term "pocket netbook/s" gets a few g results as well so there must be somthing in it:confused:

Just hope that the term catches on. I'm sure that if you developed the site you would make some sales, as you have the potential to be an authority on the pocket netbook factor. I'm sure some will be looking for advice on a netbook that is pocket-sized.
