The relevance of backlinks and age is important. If you 301 backlinks from 2005 to a 2020 website it won't make much difference but it will boost your MOZ score. If the backlinks aren't in the same category or anchors are branded it won't help much. This is a BIG question, don't expect a straight forward answer.
