Able to backorder 2 letter domains

I had forgotten to remove the 'reserved' status of 2 letter domains at ukbackorder.
You can now backorder them. Remember any initial backorder bids over £1000 don't go to auction - however in the event of multiple bids the highest backorder value will be awarded the domain if caught.
Some 2 letters coming up are wc.uk today and fu.uk, gf.uk, jr.uk, mm.uk, ph.uk, va.uk tomorrow (if they don't get renewed) - if you previously tried to backorder them they are now available.

It seems rather unusual for such a batch of 2 letter domains to drop at once.
How often would would say this happens? Or even 2 letter domains in general?
I would have thought they are closely guarded by their owners...

I suspect that's "owner" - all are with Godaddy, all with the same registration date.
