Affiliate sales with Mini Site or Blog?

My question is simple, but I dont' know if there is a right or wrong answer:-

Is affiliate selling more effective with a focused mini site using static pages (perhaps using something link Affiliate Window scripts), or using a blog type approach with regular fresh posts (perhaps with text links in the posts)?

I have seen members of this forum who have used both approaches & am interested if there is a consensus.

you could use a wordpress blog and have static pages as your affiliate product presell pages

blogs like all CMS systems limit your options - but they do generate the necessary fresh content that the search engines demand

nothing can compete with a static niche site laid out on the LSI principal - just a lot more work to do as there is no automation unless you're prepared to spend hundreds of pounds for specialist niche site building software
