We as an online community are trying to make money one way or another,
for some strange reason we all object to helping others make money.

We all avoid affiliate links like the plague and the majority of the
time we edit the URL just to avoid the referrer getting paid commission.

This little known trick will help you get around this problem and even
boost your conversion rate by up to 400% !

Let's have an example :
Which of these URL's would you be more likely to click ?
http://www.product.com/index.php?id=Dragon88
or
http://www.product.com/index.php?id=Enter

You would be more inclined to click the second link wouldn't you ?
Don't tell porkies, yes you would and i know i would too.

So when you signup for an affiliate network such as clickbank.com
try and use a username that seems like it belongs to the site.

Below are some examples :

Enter
Index
Page1

These all look like they are part of the navigation of the site
and as such people will be more willing to click on your url.

Another way you all will have seen is http://www.mysite.com/product
another way to do it & for those who use free webhosting is to upload a .htaccess file

For those who dont know how to setup the redirection via .htaccess, here is a step by step guide.

open notepad and save a new file called .htaccess
(remember to select *.* all file types or it will save as a txt file !)

copy and paste this code

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^http://AFFILIATEURL.COM$ /SHORTNAME

replace AFFILIATEURL with your URL
you must leave the ^ at the front and the $ at the back
then rename shortname with what you want..
Example :
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^http://www.mydomain.com/product/index.php?affid=2$ /videocourse

that means anyone going to http://www.mywebspace.com/videocourse gets redirected to the aff url

then upload the .htaccess file to your website root
