Hi Guys

I would love some feedback on what is better to add to your site to help earn some revenue.

I have a site that now recieves between 120 - 200 unique people a day. I know this is not a huge amount, but I would still like to add the riht content to help make some pocket money especially as the site is 100% free.

At the moment I have added relevant banners from lots of different companies on affiliate window and have not had much luck.

Im wondering if google adsense may be better or to even mix the pages.

If you want to look at the site to see how it is set at the minute it is .tel domains worlds largest phone book - tel the world

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Kind Regards

Gav

I would think about integrating some AdSense within the body text. Right within the page you should achieve a better click through rate.

At present, a lot of your affiliate banners aren't even visible without scrolling, and this will be bad for conversion. Gut feeling is you'll do better with AdSense as they are likely to be more relevant to the searcher. If you are going to use affiliate banners, put them higher up the page. You could use them in your page header, and to the left and right of the main page body.

adsense for me is picking up very nice at the moment, not sure why:confused:

Thanks so much for your comments guys.

I will def look into moving thimks about a little.

Im really limited to where I can add banners.adsense ect as the menus I built on every page.

I have only really got futher down the page without altering all my menus on 250+ pages.

Thnaks for your comments

I agree with accelerator, I have notice that there is not ads one the individual domain pages. If a visitor is not interested in leasing from you and want to leave let them leave via a affiliate link or adsense. At moment they can only go back to home page or look at another domain page. You could think abuot adding some more text to each domain (more work I know) but it might help.

Cheers guys have took your advice

I have now added a 468 x 60 adsense banner on each of the category pages ( well working through them anyway )

I will also add a smaller one 234x 60 between each of the sirectory listings on th category pages, ( 1 between each 10 listings probably )

I have also added a few 120 x 600 adsense banners on the categories to where space needs to be filled.

Thanks so much

have you deliberately left adsense off the homepage? just wondering if thats your highest traffic page and hence would make most money.

Hi lethal0r

Many thanks for your post.

No I have not added onto my homepage as there is not that much room to be honest.

If I was going to add it, it would have to be at the bottom where the 2 affliate banners are.

I have now started to add adsense underneath the catgories men in some pages rather than just the one banner.

Here is an example - .tel the world business directory - tel the world

I have also started to some on the .tel directory lisitings - 1swiss.tel, the fist swiss! uaoo

Do you think I should change th banners on the homepage with adsense ?

Regards

Gav

well for me, and seemingly others who have posted here, adsense waaaaay outperforms banner ads. its not even close in my experience.

Cheers Everyone for your input.

I am going to update the site with lots more adsense.

Kind Regards

Gav
