I've made a few new years resolutions, one of which was to swear less (not that i do loads now), A friend and I were thinking up localised alternatives, the best non offensive ones we came up with were:

Feck
Chuff
Ballcocks
Chuff
Flipin

None are listed as obsceneties, Anyone got any more amusing ones? Or ones they've made up?

When I get really angry or frustrated, I'll find the nearest old folks home, run into where all the OAPs are sitting, and shout at the top of my voice, "FIDDLESTICKS!!!". Makes me feel a whole lot better and it really offends the OAPs. One of them died the other day because it offended her so much.

It's not my idea, although I can't remember where I got it ...

I find that "no-good" is a very useful substitute for most no-good words. Used carefully and properly, it is far more effective than swearing. Mostly, one wishes to convey that some thing or person is no good. Saying that "this is no good" or you are doing no good" tends to convey that message, especially when you are dealing with one of those helpline people who is waiting for you to raise your voice or swear so the phone call can be abruptly terminated.

When I was working on the then Virgin Cinema Cardiff later to be cineworld I had an electrical engineer all he use to say was JFDI, I now do it when I remember, like when I need a hole cut out in a wall, inside the marking I put JFDI, Post here if you know what its says otherwise like I say How do you keep an idiot in suspense I'll tell you all tomorrow
