Hi,

Can someone answer the following question:

If Amazon are in number one on google for a particular search term...does this mean that i will have no chance of competing with them with an exact search term .co.uk ....or is it the opposite and they are only No 1 because there is little competition?

It depends what the search term is, but as an example I have sites ranking higher than ebay in google for some of the search terms I went for and it took little to no effort.

Look at what the other sites in the top 10 are too. Are they all authority sites? If so you may struggle to rank, if it's only Amazon, it should be quite easy...
