Even though I don't agree with the names they register it seems like someone is using the PRSS to do some Ambulance Chasing?

Take the recent cases on:

Chao Investments Limited and Domain Administration Limited basically have the same address all be it for a different PO Box number.

To get that many DRS cases in a short space of time is highly unlikely without intervention?

Also I believe some has also done it to Robert Morrison.

How come one minute there is a DRS for michealpage.co.uk

The next its michalepage.co.uk :

At the DRS event Tony Willoughby said "experts are not doing this for the money"

Then what are the ambulance chasing solicitors doing it for? Would there be less DRS cases if the solicitors were not doing this?

I must say I noticed that pattern too and thought it was a bit too much to be a coincidence.

Think of it like this though: if you're trying to get a domain from a large portfolio holder and your rights are weak (or your case is a bit iffy) then you may want to "help" 3 other (stronger) rights holders to get domain names and then you may stand a better chance because of the three strikes rule.

Clearly it wouldn't be possible if the portfolio didn't contain any "iffy" domain names but, in today's society, any domain name can be "iffy" :)

If you were an Intellectual Property Lawyer specialising in domain names needing some extra work I think the PRSS would be a good place to start. Nominet knew this would happen when they decided to make all of our details public - but then the majority of Nominet experts are Intellectual Property Lawyers.
