I'm not an angel, but I've invested in 20 startups over the last year. The old model of angel investing is rapidly changing.

Haa, I've invested in a few businesses now! both private and public.

Yes I am very very active.

I invest into the accelerators like Techstars and Ignite100.
I get to see almost all the deals that are floating about in the UK via the networks of people that invest and mentor the acclerators.
I invest in deals that come out of the accelerators and ones that people I know, trust and like tell me that are good....assuming I obviously like the startup and like the idea.
If I can add value to a deal then I will ask for options etc as an advisor.
Some of my staff now advise and invest also in the same deals as me.
