The owner of those domains was a customer of ours in 95/96 and came to us with those domains already registered.

Must have had them back from when Cerf had his first brainwave.

Since this is a pre-nom, perhaps it's not inconceivable that it's the result of a manual edit of the zone file? I guess it indicates a CNAME entry, no way to tell now it's suspended though...

There is indeed a Cname in his now defunct zonefile, so I guess we can put it down to that.
