App creation

Hi, i am looking into having an app built for a new project. I have been looking at these online app builders but not sure about them. Has anyone used them before and if so are they any good or would it be best to hire a developer.

If any one has used the app builders and would like to show me (pm) that would be great.

be careful in this, lots of "apps" are just ajax websites ina browser container, so they won/t work offline, and require hosting, so be sure what you're getting.
