Picked this up yesterday:

TheBorder.co.uk

It has hefty results in Google.co.uk for the phrase and exact phrase and has an Archive.org history from 2001.

It's currently up for sale, but I wonder if I should use it for holiday-related, or wallpaper/desktop borders, etc?

Any thoughts on value/use/possible end-users, anyone?

Lets put it this way ah hang on having a brain wave

OK trying too bare with me

Possibly a website about hadrians wall and the history of England and Scotland.

Some key villiages on the border and if you can find it information about the villiages.

Thats about it, its very google ppc and not very high revenue website.

The name though too me seems more movie related not for itself, but I could see a movie called the border so would start writing the screen play now and you might be rich.

God knows how much you paid for this, but I honestly dont think you will get the money back.

£100 maybe in 4 years

I used to hate billie piper but I think this is even worse lol

Looks like there was a 1982 Film: The Border - I don't recall it though?

I'll report back when I sell the domain on within the next 12 months max.

In that case then, god I hate people who steal my ideas.

I would put up a website regarding the film itself.

Do a bit of cutting and pasting regarding the film.

Add some links to the actors Jack Nicholson obviously being a big one.

Link to DVD and movie rental sites and hope.

You can always do a remake of it though lol

Its singular, so I think your ideas about wallpaper/desktop borders might struggle.

I'd look at it as a regional domain - often there are groups of pubs/restaurants/etc. near the border of two towns or provinces or even countries. Maybe one particular border would buy this name for a group listing? Just a thought.
