You're bound to get some traffic, but if the World Cup is like the Olympics and protective over its intellectual property rights, you could get clobbered.

Your options are:

1) Sell them to someone else

2) Park them at Sedo.co.uk / NameDrive or similar although this might be refused because of intellectual property.

3) Create your own website and put Google Adsense / Affiliate Links on it.

If I go for option 1 would I have to get them to sign some legal paperwork regarding the IP rights and killing the connection with me as the seller (I hope im making sense)

If sedo accept them would I be safe in assuming im on fairly safe ground?

Once you had done a domain name transfer legally they would be someone else's so you should be in the clear.

It would be interesting to see whether Sedo would accept them, but even if they did, it wouldn't mean anything, because the World Cup organisation could still take objection.
