If you are using a .com domain name then automatically you are subject to US jurisdiction. Are you doing business with America in anyway, using hotmail, paypal etc etc?. If you are then this article should concern you.

You might say "well I am not a criminal" . That is not the point. The point is could you even be suspected of a crime inadvertently or otherwise. And by crime we mean the US interpretation of "crime" which can mean anything I guess. Of those extradicted so far these are the offences;
Fraud 12
Drugs 10
Terrorism 4
Child pornography 3
Satellite signal theft 3
Money-laundering 2
Indecent assault 1
Rape 1
Child assault 1
Robbery 1
Racketeering 1
Computer fraud 1
Price-fixing 1
Mail fraud 1
Forgery 1
Theft 1
Sexual offence 1
Child molestation 1
Murder 1

Of course most of these hopefully wont apply to you, but how long until US introduces a sales tax, a US citizen buys from your UK based web site, you dont pay over the tax to the USA and next thing you know you are on a plane to USA accompanied by federal marshalls.

Well it's up to them if they want to muck up their domain names and keep them for yanks only. I and hundreds of thousands of others have no qualms with just redirecting the dot com and you watch the prices spiral down and the .com market go flat and the other regions go up.

I am British and I don't care about america's laws or your supposed sales tax (laughable) suggestion so they can stick it up their arse.

As far as I can see this is only to do with gambling or non physical goods like dating website memberships.

I would say porn - but the anti obsenity laws mean that porn cannot be filed on servers within the UK.

If US citizens are buying physical goods from a UK website, taxes are paid on import.

Nothing to worry about

How does this effect PPC?

If I have a gambling domain with US traffic, is that breaking any laws?
Should Sedo and ND be blocking US PCC traffic on such domains?

I should think your being paid by zee Germans.

Tricky situation. The EU tried this in regards to VAT a few years back, and it was unsuccessful as the US basically said to bugger off. I would imagine that we would do the same. We get taxed enough as it is ;)

i have two .coms and they are parked with namedrive and they make 0 cent :D
what about other extensions .org or .info ? any ways all are parked with namedrive.
