I placed some backorders with pool dot com in 2009 today I got an email saying they have secured a domain I was after. However do I have to go with them now or can I register it with someone else as they haven't disclosed any fees.

Whois records show the following if it helps:
Code:
Creation Date: 2014-07-10T14:30:10Z

Registry Expiry Date: 2015-07-10T14:30:10Z

Sponsoring Registrar:NameScout Corp. (R57-LROR)

Sponsoring Registrar IANA ID: 186

WHOIS Server:

Referral URL:

Domain Status: inactive

Domain Status: serverTransferProhibited

Domain Status: addPeriod

Registrant ID:PIT

Registrant Name:Pool.com In Trust

Any advise would be welcome :) was actually very surprised as I totally forgot about these domains. Pretty sure this is the first email since 2009.

If you backordered via Pool.com they've obviously secured you the name and most likely will have charged you the $69 fee.

It would be impossible to register the name elsewhere, the expiry date states 2015.

That's fair enough I this is the first domain I have had secured and actually forgot about it until now.

Assuming there will be additional transfer out fees if I move to it another registrar?

Yeah, if you wish to transfer out it will cost you around $10 depending which registrar you use. With that though, you'll get an additional years registration added on to the domain.

You won't be able to transfer it immediately either - you have to wait at least 60 days from date of registration.
