Well the big G has gone and banned me from Adsense, not even bothered with the appeal as 100% chance of it not being over turned/re-enabled.

Aint got a clue, other than the standard 'invalid click activity', which cannot be true on my part as not visited the sites in the account for months

Oh well, 1 less person interested in Google.

Anyone else banned lately?

Sorry to hear you have been banned, surely it's worth the effort of an appeal or at least an email to try and get it back.

It seems that a lot of people get banned for no apparent reason, quite worrying really. I know there are alternatives but G seems to be the obvious choice given the monopoly they seem to have.

Good luck

Aiden

you can get them back

Email/Ring/Go and see them....we have done them all.

We now know a pile of people in the adwords/adsense teams and aslong as your aim is to add quality then they will work with you to help sort out the issues.

The words are "quality" then you get back in. If of course they are auto generated junk then no chance

Doug

I think from the sounds of it Doug they have banned the individual rather than a particular site. So I'd say they think the clicks have been fraudulent or induced in some way. If they have banned you for fraudulent clicks then that is usually terminal.

I know a few people who have had sites banned and when the content improves the site returns.

I doubt any individual at Google has seen your account before banning it though, from what others have said it's all automated as are the appeals.

Best of luck with it though, although it's not the be all and end all these days.

Ive heard that even one or two clicks over say a few dozen web sites will get you banned, you read it on forums all the time, a couple of clicks here a couple from a friend here etc

I really feel for you, but as Graeme says, there are other ways, as for google there is no way back in your case as you know better than anyone, so best to move on and use your skills with other ways of advertising.

You wont even miss the posh cheques as they are moving to direct payment I hear lol

Keep your head up!

I have been banned from Google twice, first account was over 2,5 years old and all of a sudden it was banned without due to invalid click activity, have contacted them but never seen a reply.

I then set up a new account with different details, did well for a couple of months again it was closed down due to invalid clicks, had xxx outstanding which they also didnt pay.

Both accounts were genuine, never asked anyone to click on ads or didnt run any dodgy click software on them.

I got so fed up that I decided to never use Adsense anymore and replaced everything for affiliate banners and found that the return is way better... One good affiliate sale returns the same commission as 10, 20 or maybe 100 Adsense clicks.

I think it's maybe a blessing in disguise then. I think I'll test affiliate ads after hearing about your success.

I'm a google fan but it's seeming increasingly unfair that people can be banned without any rights to appeal in a fair way.

One for invincible here. As google offers an opportunity to make money is it acting within the law when it can create someone's income and then stop it. Does the treaty if Rome have something in it which could help maybe?

Commiserations, OrchardApple

It has happened to the best of us - and without rhyme or reason.
But DO appeal, which means it is then reviewed by a human being, rather than a machine.
All is not lost if you have decent sites with real visitors - Yahoo/Bing run integrated ads, pay monthly - and don't act like God !
It's a little more onerous to setup/approve, but once done it's set and forget

PM me if you (or anyone else) would like more details and an intro.

Best of luck,

Patrick

My fried had similar issue. Was trying to reach ant Google representative but they told him to wait and he waited and waited....

Th whole situation was strange because his site was brand new and had almost no traffic

Thanks all, well tried the appeal route and suprised i got a swift response, all beit an automated one at first but then an email about a more detailed investigation.

Just annoying that as lots of you have said its all automated, no actual review, no human commentary asking about the sites, traffic etc.

I can safely say that i've not visited the sites personally for months other than adding an article or two, defo not ingaged in any promotional activities to invites clicks etc etc.

Result - Still Banned :)

@Lordbull, please do PM me details on the Yahoo/Bing run integrated ads, defo an avenvue to look at

@Prodomains, certainly will be looking at affiliate banners etc on these sites now

I'm looking on the dark side here.....

What's to stop a competitor/someone who takes a dislike to anyone to start hammering their adwords for a couple of days. I take it this would result in a ban?

.

I think its a bit more in-depth that that. Or everyone would be doing it to screw over sites that compete against them.

There is a blog about it on the net actually, guy A tried to get site B banned from adsense by doing false clicks and all that nonsense.

Somehow Google tracked the clicks back to Guy A who also had a adsense account. But rather than banning site B from adsense, they actually banned site A. So a bit of karma there.

So be careful anyone that was thinking of doing it, because Google can ban you for what you click on regarding other sites, not just the ads on your own.

I still use adsense but noiweher near as much as before, but it's more a safety net for those that don't have time or effort to focus on a site. The real money is outside adsense, so look on it as a opportunity to change direction.

I use adsense on my affiliate sites in select exit pages, however I would not dream of using it on a developed site that would display ads in direct competition with my own business. Its absurd that I visit many sites peddling goods only to see adsense ads also.

i heard that many blogger banned from google adsense lately
do not give up my friend
just make a new google adsense account
