Indeed, but for a free 1 minute install to be able to watch UK TV on my laptop from anywhere (without the annoying IP blocks) is great.

That's not bad. Ever since I moved to Greece I've used my-private-network, its just installs a small background VPN. Its worked great for 4 years, its £5 a month though. They have a separate one for the US.

Would you use this on an android phone or some other device? It's asking me to surrender all network traffic by creating a VPN which in essence means they could track everything I input online.

If you'd like to watch live TV I'm pretty sure that FilmOn.com will work abroad. Has loads of decent channels too. I've used it a few times (in Ireland) and had no issues with it.

Not "could", will. That seems to be part of how it works, when you read their FAQ and what others have said about the service. It watches everything you do, and acts as a peer to peer network, serving up pages to other people that you've just viewed yourself, and all sorts of "clever" (i.e. dangerous) tricks like that.

+1 for filmon works fine abroad, its my preferred live tv app, far easier than flicking between iplayer 4live and dreaded itv player.

This is by far the best paid available option, doesn't use a VPN/VPS and uses your own internet speed which is always a problem when using other services for me. It's about $4 a month, I've been using for around a year never had a problem.

It also allows you to set a Locale for Netflix, allowing you to watch the available NetFlix shows in several different countries.

Just had a look, yep looks the same to me, looks to use DNS the same as Overplay. Same price and features, so either one looks good!

I signed up to unblock-us and Overplay.

SkyGo only worked with Overplay, so if anyone needs SkyGo to work then go for Overplay.
