Great to find a uk domain forum ;)

I am looking to develop domains on mass and wonder if anyone has any tips about best practices for hosting domains on the same server.

So for example I have 100+ domains in about 4 different niches and some of those sites will link to each other. Should I spread them out over multiple servers and ip addresses?

Look forward to hearing from anyone.

Yep, I would definately reccommend different servers and ip's..

Welcome!

hosting companies

Thanks for replying.

so do you recommend any good hosts? I have used dedicated server for some, tried united hosting and so snaller companies but not found any great ones??

Thanks

The problem is that splitting your sites over multiple servers is likely to cost you a lot more, for marginal benefit - ideally your sites should be so good that other people will spontaneously link to them. In my view if your content isn't good enough to get other people to link to the site, then you need to rethink what you are putting on the site. Ultimately, it is your site content that will lead to success.

Your on page SEO is probably more important than cross-linking your own sites too.

Good luck

just grab a load of budget hosts here and there
some may have occasional down time as a result of the price, but nothing terrible if you are hosting simple sites.

Some examples

site5
streamline
eapps (had no down time and amazing time with this lot)
omnis
123-reg

all those do hosting and domain purchases / hosting too with nice control panels (save for streamline)

Just don't get too greedy.

Personally, I would build up all your sites locally (on your computer) before putting any money down for hosting. Then once you have them all done push 10 sites live per week.

Keep them all listed in an excel document with login details, addresses, content type, registered date, live date etc. ;)
