Why did you choose to host your blog externally rather than on your site?

I'm sure there are pros and cons to both however, interested to hear your thoughts.

Why did you choose to host your blog externally rather than on your site?

Looks like a subdirectory of the company's .com site to me, Ben ... gives that "corporate" feel.

whatever, I just had to highlight a typo (or two - my italics) -
