Bodis to shut down on 31 January 2026
Domains must be moved off Bodis to avoid downtime

Summary

Bodis has notified customers that it will cease operating its services effective 31 January 2026. Customers are asked to move domains off the platform within the next several days. Any domains still pointed to Bodis after the shutdown date will no longer resolve or be monetized.

Bodis says its main website will remain available through 30 April 2026 so customers can still access their accounts, including historical stats and payment information.

Key dates (from the shutdown notice)

  • 31 January 2026: Bodis services end (domains still pointed to Bodis will stop resolving / monetizing)
  • Next several days (from the notice): requested window to move domains off Bodis
  • 30 April 2026: main site remains available for account access, stats, and payment information

Payouts (important for small balances)

Bodis states it reduced the minimum payout threshold to $0.01 for payments made via PayPal. If your balance is below the minimum required for bank transfer, Bodis recommends switching the payout method to PayPal to receive any remaining funds.

What AcornDomains members should do now

If you have any domains still on Bodis, the main risk is simple: after 31 January they may stop resolving.

Recommended checklist:
  • Run a quick nameserver check at your registrar(s) to find any domains still using Bodis nameservers
  • Change DNS as soon as possible (sales lander, alternative parking, or your own landing page)
  • Log in and export any stats you want to keep before the 30 April access deadline
  • Check your payout balance and confirm your payout method (PayPal if you’re below bank transfer minimums)

Community notes

On NamePros, multiple members shared the same shutdown email and warned that many investors were using Bodis for landers as well as parking, so don’t forget to switch those domains too.

Industry context: why this is happening now

Bodis hasn’t published a detailed public explanation of the closure, but the timing aligns with a broader industry shift: Google Ads changed how parked domains are handled on the Search Partner Network, moving parked-domain placements to opt-out by default (and requiring advertisers to manually opt in if they want to appear on parked domains). Industry analysts have described this as a major driver behind the sharp decline in traditional PPC parking revenue in 2025.

Background on Bodis

Bodis was founded in 2007 by Matt Wegrzyn and became one of the best-known brands in PPC parking and domain monetization, used by many investors for both monetization and for-sale landers. Its exit marks another significant step in the ongoing contraction of the classic PPC parking market.
