PM for BIN or offers.

Very nice brandable domain in an attractive sector.

I also have the .com and we can discuss a deal on that too if you like, but will be a bit more expensive and can't transfer until 60 days time.

Thanks

Who wants to kick this off with an offer? You never know, you might pick up a bargain.

A good marketable .co.uk in a sector with a number of strong affiliate programmes to choose from.

Thanks

Is that because they were both only registered on Saturday?

?

Were they registered because I asked if I could buy any?

On principle I would not have bought it....sorry

Yes they were. If I see that a buyer is after a particular name, then I will often have a look to see if I can find anything good that is available, reg it, and offer it to them. I am not necessarily expecting the original person who had the request to want the name, as I will only reg a name if I think it has potential in the wider market.

I happen to think I've regged a good name and I'll be able to sell it, the market will decide.

I would be sorry to hear if you were upset by this at all Doug, but I can't see why you'd be upset, or why you'd exclude yourself from buying it should you want it.

I think it is insulting Doug's and other members intelligence by offering freshly registered domains for £800 each.

I would have expected more from such an experienced member

Based on Doug's request, to go and grab an FTR domain and offer it almost immediately afterwards at £800 is taking the p**s if you ask me !!

Doug do you want breakdowncoverpros.co.uk for £795 ? :p

I think anyone's opinion on whether I'm taking the proverbial or not depends purely on their perceived value of the name.

One thing that I now believe is that you cannot offer good names too cheaply, as that will destroy your long term returns.

So:
breakdowncover.co.uk - regged
breakdowncoveruk.co.uk - regged

Can you provide me with a better name that uses a -suffix? I specifically want a suffix name because I think that is better for SEO.

Doug could have regged this name himself before posting if he wanted. Essentially, what he would be paying for is my skill at identifying strong domain names. He doesn't have to buy the name.

I actually emailed Doug a few FTR domains after his wanted request, which imo were better than the one being offered

Fine, and that's your decision and up to you. However, if I see a free to reg name that I think I can sell, I will always reg it and attempt to sell it. I can't see why people are having a go at me for this, we are domainers after all. I've identified an opportunity and made an investment, I can't see an issue.

Would not normally post in a sales thread but this one is now going nowhere.

Accelerator I don't believe registering domains to try to sell to forum members wanted posts is a good idea, you would have done much better to have suggested that they were free to reg and Doug I am sure would have sent you a reward had he used them.

Shamefully you are not the only one other members are registering domains and then trying to make a quick flip this seems to have become an annoying trend.

I hope no member buys them..........

I personally would have no problem with someone trying to flip a domain to me after I had posted in the Wanted section. In fact I would welcome it, because that's exactly what I would expect from posting, people offering me domains.

It's clear that I have a difference of opinion from some forum members, so from my point of view I would like to agree to differ on this one.

I personally think there are two separate issues.......one is where you buy a FTR after a fellow domainer is looking for specific names, and then try and sell them it. Agree we are all domineers and making a profit is why we are all here (or most of us) but this forum works as members of a community. So I also think the 'better' thing to have done was to let Doug know there were some FTR..........business is buying and selling but also perception and 'like-ability' the last two items are also quite fundamental, it's not always about profit but building up relationships and networking - and offering help as partof a community.

The second about buying FTR and offering them up for sale I don't personally have a problem with. It might give me an angle I hadn't thought of before, or a niche, so personally unless I am looking for an aged domain I don't usually go running off to Whois before I offer to buy.

They are similar but to me quite different.......
