Not sure if I am posting in the right forum:D

Are .us extensions only available for American residents or businesses?

No you can purchase anywhere in the World.

If its worth actually purchasing these extenstions is another matter.

You really need to get that killer domain name such as casino.us to ever hope of making money from it.

Just checking and a lot have gone but at £8.99 a year then its going to be a sit and wait game for the resale value.

I'm with one and one myself and there selling .us names, I cant see how they can police the rules regarding the .us names myself.

Would be a risk but you can reasonably get away with murder probaly with this.

Theres no way that they can tell that your not from the US and I dont think that they would bother checking, especially if a few million people register domain names.

I suppose if 1 & 1 let you register, knowing full well that you are a UK resident, it shouldn't be a problem.

There are quite a few domains available with the .us extension, yet are not available with top level extensions. I suppose it's only worth buying a .us if the domain is killer domains as you have already said.

Thanks all for your replies.
