Can my host do this?

Hi

A hosting company our company has used has suspended our hosting due to they say they found a complaint on a fourm about them that we are supposed to of made.

They say they wont give our data back or wont un suspend the account.

We have said amicably that we will get all of the posts removed

What can we do legally with regards to getting our data and site back as we cant access the cpanel?

Check the T&C's you read and agreed to when signing up, of they say it is OK, then you're stuck with it.

Any reason not to have a local copy of your site backup?

Yes most hosts in ”developed” countries are not interested in any legal grief at all… Nearly always in there T& C’s. There are some mainly third world, Chinese, Ex Ussr etc that are less though?

if its Dreamhost they can apparently do what they like!
