I have listed a large portfolio of 673 .co.uk domain names on Ebay link here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223214540124 am trying to make sure I have priced it correctly so take a look at the portfolio on the above listing and let me know if its priced correctly or should I be amending it to get a better chance to sell.

If you want to sell then set it as an auction with a 99p start.

In my opinion, you'd be lucky to hit £xxx level

I think you have some ok names mixed in there, but they're the type of name it's a bit of a long shot if you ever get a buyer

I only looked through very quick but maybe 10-25 are worth holding on to, low xxx maybe

673 x £6 = £4k approx

easy money for Nominet and registrar(s) * big loss for reseller

I doubt you would recover 10% on an Ebay sale, better to wait unless you are desperate

not the case saw this list on another forum looks like someone originally purchased them on promo at £1 each as i was offered this batch of names for $497.....

seller undeterred, listing changed to £10k BIN or best offer, perhaps more of us should follow this approach

he is evidently taking into account all the encouragement from replies here

Many thanks for all the responses, I have now been offered £200 for coffeedrop.co.uk so there must be some value in the list, I was given the portfolio as collateral against a debt of 3500 for a project I did so am trying to recoup as close to the 3500 as possible hence why I put it on the ebay at 10K with the option for someone to make an offer.

I don't usually sell domain names I usually buy the odd name here or there for own personal use rather than resale but I find myself needing to sell this portfolio to recoup money, and indeed I do take encouragement from all of you since you are more experienced than I am and this is what you guys do day in day out, I can only but again say thank you for your time in giving me honest impartial reviews most appreciated. :)

Potential value in your list depends where and how you sell the domains. More time and effort are likely to yield a much better return than the convenience of using Ebay. Low valuations here are probably more a reflection of your chosen market place, rather than individual assessment of the domains.

They are all due for renewal in April. A small number may be worth renewing, but I would aim to dispose of them all before then. You will make more from individual sales than clearing them as a job lot, that should be the last step.

@keys can you recommend how should I go about selling them and where please apart from this Forum and ebay.

There is no simple answer.

The domains all have contact pages, with BIN prices, this is a good move. I prefer more direct control, using Domain Manage, DN Manager is another popular service.

Post regular small batches with prices on Acorn. Some may be good enough to sell on DomainLore.

Out of curiosity, I checked all names starting with "a" for .uk availability. The following are registered, so matching co.uk's probably have some value. On a crude estimate that is 10% of the list, or a total of 67 domains.

artteacher
aidbox
alexmurray

There is a startups website for new ventures. Their forum may accept selected domains at budget prices.

Ebay is not out of the question, but generally associated with lowest prices

@keys Many thanks for taking time out from your schedule to provide such a detailed explanation most appreciated and will look at the various sources and forums you had mentioned, if you think of anything else let me know.

The crude estimate of 67 was a good guide, actual number is 73 - I would certainly take a closer look at pricing for these domains

aidbox * alexmurray * artteacher * banklaw * betarena * bikelaw * bingopro * callhub * charityhub * coffeedrop * compareme * cooksimple * copped * dataclaim * datainput * datanerd * dataquery * deskbox * dogger * druglist * engraves * epicdance * eurovote * expendable * extracover * fetishporn * fleetfuel * foodcourse * forexhelp * fraudscan * goninja * gourban * granitetop * graphed * greatglass * hairblog * henchmen * herohire * homesync * hostbot * hugeart * insighthub * latesales * lettermail * mixlist * novote * odontology * prettydog * primetool * realtruth * robotforex * saleschat * salivaswab * sharpsuit * shirtprint * spinalcord * storejobs * swearwords * taxexpat * taxtrusts * tinylink * toolteam * topnurse * turbobid * videotutor * viewshop * vipvegas * visitshop * vivacoach * wardance * weightroom * youthrugby

I have sold co.uk's for £xxx and higher, and buyers did not want .uk even if they were included in sale. So chances are you will find other good or better domains aside from the above.

@keys many thanks for the above detailed information and list of more valuable domains, would you say if I list them on multiple forums for £200 each and the whole lot at £4000 something doable ?

dogger.co.uk

Lancashire has replaced Surrey as the UK's capital - for dogging according to the daily mirror. You might get a few 'leads' in those counties

I bought all these so if anybody wants to make an offer on any you can do it via the domain.
