Any views appreciated on this one

cardblock-co-uk

I can't think of any xenophobic or racist ways of lookin at this one!!!

Thanks in advance

Paul

My first thought was that this domain related to putting a block on credit/debit cards if stolen or lost. Didn't see anything racist or xenophobic whatsoever.

I also think of blocking cards for security ... but please explain where you feel the revenue generation opportunity is ... maybe for a card blocking service provider?? It's seems a bit niche and away from obvious consumer opportunities.

Hi accelerator, I'm not sure if your question was to me, but I agree that it may be tricky to develop revenue here.

I'd have thought the domain names to go for would be cancelmycards or cancelcreditcards or cancelmycreditcards - all of which have been registered in the .co.uk & .com. But even then, most people would get on the phone, I'd guess, to cancel their cards. I did.

more answers than questions...

Hi,

Thanks for your opinions.

Luke, with the xenophobia/racist thing I was referring to the popular 'w apps' post that was creating quite a bit of interest just before my posting.....it was just a bit of an attempt at observational humour...suppose you had to be there the time!?!?!

Accelerator, i was/am thinking along the same lines as you and hopefully can seek out some good affiliate opportunites and try and monetise with adsense with some good advice articles text etc. I was hoping - long term - to maybe attract a credit card company as they continue to lay off more humans and employ more computer chips to get the job done...with little difference to the APR obviously!!!

I do agree Luke that often the first port of call - for convenience and speed - is the phone but feel that its a good bet for the future as the world keeps finding soultions via the click of a mouse.

Thanks again for your views and opinions.

Paul
