Hi all,

Picked up this domain name recently.... I'm thinking it could be of interest to either a car hire company operating in Columbia or just a car hire company that wants to take advantage of a 'carhire.xx' domain name to increase traffic. Any thoughts?

I like it (others won't) and it could do well as a PPC campaign url.

You could geo target a ppc campaign by using subdomains, eg, leeds.carhire.co or gatwick.carhire.co

Do you want a valuation or more of a qualitative reply?

value-wise today - no idea, but a good deal more than you paid if a pre-order.

usability-wise today - good on the right campaign

No idea... the aftermarket has only just started. Personally, I'd wait 6 months to see how the aftermarket has developed and some benchmark sales have been recorded.

No one would give an accurate price for them at present you could check previous ttcld sales and make a comparison as there are no sales static’s and the extension is only days old If your just looking to sell then £50 … it could be under priced ,the market value, overpriced just too early to tell….?

Companies/Business will be waiting and see if it takes analysing the market, see how well they do, public acceptance , search engine perceptions etc (if any were guaranteed worth thousands at the start someone would have pre regged iffy trademark or alike in most cases )

I think its a decent name it may not attract much interest from the guys at the top end of the car hire market just now but maybe a company at the lower to mid range may well like the idea of having a name that says exactly whats on the tin

I would sit on it until the reg expires and even longer as it has potential just for its uniqueness lets face it Colombia aint going like the tv extension below the sea

I agree with the other posters its hard to put a value on it at the mo..

I have got a few of the .co's a city a personal name and a tech generic, keeping them to see how they work out...if they dont I have lost a good few quid, I could have spent it down the pub and saved it staying in the weekend

I'm not a lover of the .co extension but, this one strikes a nice chord and can see this one at work. I would guess there are the same .co speculators out there that would be thinking they could sell on at low - mid £x,xxx at the mo - so building in their margin should give you some idea of 'immediate' liquid value
